Nintendo’s first $70 game is The Legend of Zelda: Tears

To Game Informer, Nintendo said “we determine the suggested retail price for any Nintendo product on a case-by-case basis.” When asked if the price would be the trend moving forward, Nintendo replied “no,” followed by the “case-by-case” sentence. And to be fair to Nintendo, they’re already demonstrating that’s the case: the new Metroid Prime remaster costs $40, while Pikmin 4 is currently priced at $60.

Update February 8th, 7:58PM ET: Added Nintendo comment shared with Game Informer and context about other Nintendo games for sale.
